Mike has claimed to be the only true conservative left in this race. He also thinks that it was insulting at the debates when they did very little to acknowledge his probability as a candidate. Even though he has been a long shot he has claimed that he is a choice for the conservative vote and there is “still fight left in this dog.” He has spent all this time defending his right to be heard. Yet, he has done the same thing to Ron Paul. On all issues, except the war, Ron Paul is the most pro-life (the only one to offer an amendment in congress to overturn Roe vs. Wade), most fiscally conservative. In fact, both Mike Huckabee and Hillary Clinton both used Paul’s example of borrowing from China to pay our bills. Ron Paul on finance reform, taxation, personal freedom and the constitution by far is the most conservative. He is a Christian and has not compromised those values while in office.
So who is Huckabee to treat Paul as if he does not exist. Why is Mike not standing up for both himself and Ron Paul for the lack of publicity they have been getting?
The question is if Ron Paul the only conservative left in the race?

It has been a few days of recuperation from Super Tuesday and Mitt Romney’s disappointing withdrawal from the Presidential race. With that behind us, it is time to look forward strategically as evangelicals towards the next big event, the Presidential election. There is a lot at stake with the values of the liberal left, our economy, the war on terror and our children’s future. This is a major battle that will need all participants. This blog has not been a big fan of John McCain yet he carries some significant differences from the huge government socialists that will solve your problems with money they don’t have, by taking from those who have worked hard to earn it.

It has become very difficult to move on and prepare for our future when the statistical improbability of Mike Huckabee lingers around. As an evangelical, I can see why people support him: He is a nice guy, was a pastor, cares about people and has done very well with little financial support. The problem is his lack of ability to see the big picture. The big picture is this:

He has never handled a world wide crisis such as war
He has never handled a prospering country on the down slide and brought it back up
He is ignorant on the necessity of foreign trade and how to improve it
He claims to be the most conservative candidate, when the populist economy of Arkansas was hardly a conservative move
He did raises taxes which he denies.
He uses his two terms as governor to proclaim his leadership, but so did Bill Clinton.
He has a great animosity towards those who have prospered in our country, including his obvious disdain for Mitt Romney and his money.
He says he is staying in this race for the little guy, what about the little guy who supports John McCain.
He does not consider his running as affecting the future of our country by not allowing the only statistical winner, John McCain, of putting his money towards beating Hillary or Barak.

Bottom line, Mike Huckabee does not represent evangelical conservatism, but maybe a good pastor.

This has become quite a primary and all the decisions that go into this election. The race is tight and every vote truly matters including you Alaska, who will be the last ones in . This evangelical blog has chosen to endorse Mitt Romney based on the following reasons:

1. The moral fortitude of not only Mitt Romney, but his children have proven what type of leader we can expect.

2. He has taken his political career from moderate to a true conservative stance at the risk of alienating himself from ever being respected among the liberal moderates.
Winston Churchill said, “Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains.”
Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan and Mitt Romney never denied there liberal past, but held to the stance of their conservative future. Romney may not have wanted to impose his conservative ideas 14 years ago, but he never voted for liberal ones. He is solid pro-life, pro-family, pro-fiscal conservative, pro-small government, pro-national defense.

3. He is an outsider that can bring change to a government run by the beltway boys.

4. He is an example of the American Dream at work, that is also patriotism. If you live in a free world and never do anything with it is not honorable.

5. Since the media hates Mitt and avidly supports John McCain, including the recent San Francisco Chronicle. I would say they are afraid of the morality and change he would endeavor to bring this country.

For those of you who have questioned all the attacks on Mitt Romney for his financial bank roll in this campaign, may want to consider the big picture (According to Fox News):

Hillary Clinton
Raised: $90,935,788
Spent: $40,472,775

Barak Obama
Raised: $80,256,426
Spent: $44,169,236

Mitt Romney
Raised: $62,829,068
Spent: $53,612,552

John McCain
Raised: $32,124,785
Spent: $28,636,157

Ron Paul
Raised: $8,268,452
Spent: $2,824,786

Mike Huckabee
Raised: $2,345,797
Spent: $1,694,497

A couple of observations here: First, why has the media not commented on the funds of Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton (ok, rhetorical). Second, how is the party of the “rich” not doing very well financially. Third, it is apparent at why there is so much animosity to Mitt Romney from Mike Huckabee.
